Sponsoring an SOS family

Companies that wish to sponsor an SOS house in SOS Children's Village Croatia sign an advertising agreement with the Association. The annual sponsorship is HRK 35.000,00, or HRK 2.917,00 per month, although the sponsor can donate more if desired. This amount goes towards covering utility bills for an SOS family house in SOS Children's Village Lekenik or Ladimirevci.

After the agreement has been signed, and all its conditions met, we put a commemorative plaque with the logo of the sponsoring company on the house, we put the company on our sponsors list, we link to the website of the sponsoring company from our own website, and we announce the donation/sponsorship in our quarterly, SOS Journal, that we mail to 10.000 addresses in Croatia.

We are not interested solely in financial help – we would also like the employees of the sponsoring company to meet and spend time with the SOS family they sponsor. We hope that they will pay a visit to their SOS family or perhaps invite them to some of company’s celebrations (e.g. the Christmas party, Open Door Day etc.)

In this way, our children become aware of their sponsors, of well-intentioned, understanding people who want to help them grow up in a secure and happy environment, just like children do in their biological families.
