Young footballers from SOS take part in the FC Barcelona Camp Croatia 2012

More than 20.000 children around the world have already taken part in Barcelona Camps, returning home with the unforgettable memories of true Barcelona spirit. Participating in this year’s camp were 3 boys from the SOS Children's Village Lekenik.

FC Barcelona Camp Croatia 2012 took place in Zagreb between June 18 and 22, at the FC Hrvatski dragovoljac football fields in Siget. The practical part of the FC Barcelona Camp was organized by FCB Escola, a school based on Barcelona’s football philosophy. FCB Escola provides top notch trainers, training programs and guidelines and instructions for participants to make sure that their experience of the Barcelona football camp is authentic in every way.

Our boys shared some impressions after participating in this unique event.
“Karlo, Ivan and I were all invited to the Barcelona Camp. We attended practice for five days in a row, twice a day. The practice was exhausting, but also interesting. Unfortunately, I had an injured knee that prevented me from showing my best moves. Each of us received two Barcelona jerseys for training. We were divided into groups by age. I was in the Thiago group. I met a lot of other boys my age and even made some friends. The day before last we were all photographed together, and on the last day they gave us all photos and diplomas at a ceremony. We said goodbye to the trainers and friends from our teams”, reported our sixth-grader Nikola Alexandar.
