“Day of Caring” in SOS Children's Village Lekenik

On Saturday, April 02nd, 2011, the employees of Mercedes-Benz Leasing Croatia visited SOS Children's Village Lekenik.

This time, 38 employees employees and 13 of their children actively engaged in activities with handymen and children from SOS Children's Village: they cleaned the path from the SOS Children's Village to school and the centre of the town, painted the street lamps and trees in village orchard.
After joint lunch in the open, the events continued in joyful atmosphere in the Social Center of SOS Children's Village. Our friends from Mercedes-Benz Leasing Croatia joined the workshops which are regularly organized in our Village and after 45 minutes dared to show their artistic skills on stage..

The dance performance was the one to open the programme: the icebreaker came from majorettes supported by several dancers. The art group painted one joint picture on the big canvas and the drama group showed us how to properly support your favourite sport's team. The biggest applause went to the violinists who played three beautiful musical peaces. In the end, the young and old rockers played and sang Croatian rock&roll evergreen „All is easy when you are young“ as a closure of one beautiful Spring day.
